Our management goal is to foster happiness among our customers, society, and all those who support our company by providing better lifestyle products. Since our establishment in 1997, DRETEC has been committed to the concept of “measuring” (hakaru: measuring, weighing, and counting) as a manufacturer of measurement devices. We have continued to develop our business with the aim of “bringing convenience to every aspect of daily life.”
Through these years of continuous efforts, we have earned high recognition from many customers. Our kitchen timers and cooking scales have grown into industry-leading products. Furthermore, we have expanded our business scope into the lifestyle product field, including thermometers, hygrometers, and electric kettles. In 2011, we obtained licenses for the manufacturing and sales of medical devices as well as medical device manufacturing, marking our entry into the “Medical Business.” In recent years, we have also actively promoted new initiatives, including the “Licensing Business” and the “Beauty Project,” which is driven primarily by our younger employees.
In our production activities, we select the optimal locations from a global perspective and work to create products that deliver “safety and reliability” through a strict quality control system, where engineers in Japan and various regions around the world collaborate closely. We also place great importance on the growth of each individual employee and support their self-development through a qualification acquisition program that covers more than 70 types of certifications.
